What we do?
We have always been keen in solving the problems in the rural healthcare sector. Our Healthcare vision is to deliver Medical services & create a platform for accessible healthcare for each one in the rural sector. Our ground principles have always been in creating healthy lives. We plan to not only deliver medicines to the rural & small town poor people but also strive to create healthy environments by creating a smile with a focus on sanitation & wellness.
Our Healthcare mission is to promote preventive healthcare to avoid diseases spread in the rural areas. The founders have levied great emphasis on spreading mass awareness about the health issues & educate masses on how to prevent diseases. Our ultimate aim is to create healthy smiling lives.
Many of the villages still don’t have proper infrastructure for sub-centers and PHCs or CHCs. Even if they are there, they face unavailability of doctors or the staff, beds, basic medical equipment, drinking water supply and sanitation; any or at times all of them are in scanty numbers. There’s lack of diagnostic centers in villages; due to which patients, especially the serious ones have to be carried along long distances that result in their deteriorating condition or even death. Moreover, ‘bad roads’ impede the movement of ambulances or any vehicle during emergencies. The inconvenient transport system is also a major concern. Shortage of funds is a major drawback in public health system.
Generic drugs need to be given a boost up to help the poor and even the middle class in some way to save their pocket. In rural areas nutrition seems to be a big challenge. Girls and women often suffer from anemia, malnutrition and poor health condition in general. It is so either because they lack resources even to feed themselves two meals a day or due to lack of awareness arising out of illiteracy.
“We want to see an India where every child gets an education, every youth an opportunity to succeed, and every woman the right to equality.”
We are an NGO of young people working in the area of Schools and Primary Education in Maharashtra, India. We have been working to provide quality education to the Underprivileged children in the schools and empower them.
Our Education Mission Education is a national level programme of Medlife Foundation, which is committed to providing basic education and healthcare to underprivileged children.Medlife Foundation believes that whether you are addressing healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment or human rights, there’s no better place to start than in the corridors of education.
Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life; means, because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one’s awareness on a range of issues – from healthcare to appropriate social behavior to understanding one’s rights, and in the process evolve as a better citizen.
Medlife Foundation’s works for needy children who are under difficult circumstances, such as child labour, children of poorest of the parents, children inflicted and affected with HIV/AIDS, street and runaway children, children with rare disabilities, disaster struck children and slum children. Special emphasis is given on girl education and women education, so that they and their families get empowered.
In India, Women population is around 50% of the total population of the world. They have every right to be treated equally with men in every sphere of life and society.
Empowering women in India is now very necessary to bring gender equality or we can say that gender equality is very necessary to empower women. Our country is still a developing country not a developed country and economic status of our country is very poor because it is a male-dominated country. Men (means the half power of the country) are walking alone and they forced women to do only household works. They do not know that women are the half power of this country and combining to male can form full power of the country.
To have the bright future in family, society and country empowerment of women is essential. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had said that to awaken the people, we should first awaken the women, because once a woman has been awakened then the whole nation and family get awakened with her.
Women Empowerment is strengthening the social, economic and educational powers of women. It refers to an environment where there is no gender bias and has equal rights in community, society, and workplaces.
Why women empowerment is so necessary for our country and other questions. It needs to think positively, it needs to change the way of our thinking about women. Women need to be given full freedom, it is their birth rights. Women too need to change their mindset that they are weak, anybody can cheat them or use them instead they need to think that they have same power like men and can do anything better than men. They can be physically powerful also by learning yoga, martial arts, kung fu, karate, etc as their safety measures.
Women empowerment is the vital tool for advancing development in the country. It also would help in reducing poverty by improving health and productivity within families and communities as well as providing a better chance to the next generation. There are many social issues making women backward in India such as gender based violence, reproductive health inequities, economic discrimination, harmful traditional practices, other pervasive and persistent forms of inequality.
